forstell for possessing porn, a lot of it, thousands of videos of children were found in his san jose apartment. >> some of the pornography that mr. forstell was sharing involved younger children, the youngest ones we saw were about 4 years old, up to about 9, the majority in the 5 to 7-year-old range. >> reporter: even more disturbing, the children in the same images were the same ages as the children he taught in seaside, south of santa cruz. that is not the only school forstell worked at. he was also a substitute from 2009 until february of this year. during that time he filled in at 11 different elementary schools and middle schools in the district, including a 5-month assignment, teaching third grade here at clyde arbuckle elementary school. >> he was a substitute teacher here and applied for substitute service in 2009. we do a background check, and a fingerprint check. so we did that, and he cleared that. those fingerprints go to a department of justice, so at a time of hiring that is done. >> reporter: the investigation continues, we tried to talk to him at his apartment but no

downtown san jose and finally to the hp pavilion where there's going to be quite a crowd expected. if you can't make it to the hp pavilion, they'll have alternate viewing locations in santa cruz via big screen tv. the doors of the kaiser permanen permanente arena will open at 10:00 a.m. the theater at 11:00. bob redell, "today in the bay." >> reporter: thank you, bob. you mentioned everyone will end up here at hp pavilion in downtown san jose. it will be a packed house at capacity actually. officials are expecting 18,000 to 20,000 people to show up here to pay their final respects to say final goodbyes to sergeant lauren baker and officer elizabeth butler. the procession is expected to arrive here at hp closer to 10:00 this morning. it will include more than 200 law enforcement vehicles including vehicles from fire departments and the santa cruz county criminal justice agencies. the memorial is scheduled to get under way at noon in the audience today some 6,000 officers from all over the bay area and statewide. also thousands of just regular citizens who just feel compelled to say their f

to san jose. we are in san grows -- we start with claudine in santa cruz. >> reporter: we are standing at the start of the procession. the folks told to gather here starting about seven this morning and in the last several minutes we have seen activity. take a look to the side of me. you can see three buses that are lined up along this street. they have the santa cruz police emblem on them and a sign. we assume possibly members of the department will ride these buses down the procession. i want to show you what's happening in this parking lot just near the boardwalk here. you can see motor officers starting to line up their motorcycles. they will stage there and then move to the start of the procession. this procession, ready to leave about 8:45 but everybody was told to gather about seven this morning so it'll just get busier. the morning has started in this community. everybody is still trying to dumb to terms with the loss of the two officers. there was a memorial last night at the santa cruz memorial funeral home. just a chance for people, friends, family, strangers to come. there

to san jose. people will start to arrive at the san jose boardwalk. the procession will exit just north of downtown and drive a few blocks to the hp pal vilion. >> marla, good morning. >> reporter: jon and laura, good morning. hp pavilion not used to hosting events like this but they are ready for it all the same. officials expect 18,000 to 20,000 people to show up here a little bit later this morning to pay their final respects to sergeant lauren butch baker and detective elizabeth butler. the the procession once it makes the 33-mile trek from santa cruz is expected to arrive at hp pavilion closer to 10:00 this morning. it will include more than 200 law enforcement vehicles. the memorial is scheduled to start at noon as you mentioned. inside we can tell you crews spent yesterday and evening making sure everything is ready to go. in the audience today, some 6,000 officers from all over the bay area and statewide. also thousands of just regular citizens who feel compelled to say their goodbyes to the detectives and of course the families of the fallen officers and we are told family memb

the dogs in 2007 but the dublin school board voted to bring them back last year. >>> san jose police are looking for two men that are suspected of robbing people leaving a light rail station. janine de la vega is at station with a look at the video police are hoping will lead them to the suspects. >> reporter: the second incident in the last couple of months where victims have been followed off of a light rail station and robbed in neighborhood. the first one happened on ray street but the latest involved a light rail station and happened in the evening hours. police want you to take a good look at these two men. one is black the other is latino and both appear to be in their 20s. on march 8th they followed victims off the train which is near capital avenue. this is video of the two suspects getting off the train. investigators say they confronted the victims in a neighborhood about a half mile away. it was there where they shot the victims. after the victims were robbed the suspects ran away. the first suspect is described as black being 5'10" ta

cruz memorial. the viewing comes one day before a public memorial service at hp pavilion in san jose. thursday's procession is set to start at 8:45 in the morning in santa cruz. participants will all be staging at the third street parking lot on the board walk. the procession will head north over highway 17 to hp pavilion in downtown san jose. authorities say that procession will cause rolling road closures along the route. >>> ktvu will air thursday's memorial live. our coverage begins with mornings on 2. then at 11:00, our coverage continues as the funeral procession makes its way to san jose. >>> on wall street the dow jones went where it has never been before surpassing it's previous record in closing at an all time high. the dow gained 125 points to 14,253. that is 90 points above the previous record set before the recession in october of 2007. nasdaq gained 42 it's at a 12 year high but still 19 points below its report set back in march 2000. still there was no champane popping in wall street. there's reluctance to get too excited since the economy remains in recovery mode. low

100 people who live in a homeless encampment in san jose near the guadalupe river. police officers will clear the area out at 8:30 a.m. this morning. kron4 mike pelton is live in san jose. >> they're all giving 72 hours' notice is to clear the area. some of them stated that what was what off when the police come. however, there are a lot of sense here. the authorities want to clean up this area. this stretch of land runs along-said it was left vacant because it is right next to the international airport and it was here in case a pilot needed to make an emergency landing. people started living here when a another and kamen was cleared. >> it is just tired some. people get tired of not knowing. we had no idea how long were wanted to stay here. this is what bothers me the most because i did not know. >> the fire and the trash that is left of my is part of the reason why they want to clear everything out. the housing department will help these people find shelter. if they will also find measures to stop another encamp from popping up. >> we are watching wall street. the dow jones is cl
